Traeger Rent a Car

We searched many rental options for Coyhaique and the best thing we did on the entire trip was select Traeger! Simply OUTSTANDING service &. SUV’s! First, the price was good. Second, communication in English with Nicole on WhatsApp was perfect. There was no doubt about deposits, total costs, additional drivers, license requirements, or anything. Third, car pickup was easily coordinated at the Balmaceda airport. Viviana was standing outside arrivals with our name, greeted us in English and took us to our SUV’s in the parking lot. It was windy, so we sat in the front seats to do the paperwork. She had a portable credit/debit card reader and we paid the remainder for all vehicles. Note: she also charged a security deposit for each vehicle. This showed as a temporary charge on my account and never went final. Fourth, they were extremely helpful when one of the cars got a flat on the first day! 😆 While Traeger doesn’t fix flats they referred us to a tire shop that only charged about $5 to fix it! 👍🏻 Finally, the return process was easy. We filled them at Coyhaique (no gas stations in Balmaceda). Drove them to the BBA airport, parked in airport parking, took a photo of the dash that included the fuel level & mileage, and sent the photos via WhatsApp. Nicole sent photos of completed paperwork with no damages & it’s all done. We enjoyed the trip so much that we’ll probably come back next year. The rental SUV search will be easy, we’re going back to Traeger with zero doubts about renting from them again. Bottom line: Nicole & Viviana of Traeger provided outstanding service and excellent vehicles for a week of a lot of driving the countryside. Absolutely 5 ⭐️!!

Excellent service. Was a bit nervous at first but once we connected via whatsapp they were responsive and great and supported us in English! We rented three cars without a hitch and were met at the airport on the way in. Turn in was even easier. And, we had no issues with deposits or payment via credit card. It was a great experience. The only issue was two flat tires (we were off road a LOT and the roads were rough). But they quickly hooked us up with a local mechanic who speedily fixed the tires. But if you aren't just going to be around town make sure you are prepared to handle tire changes. Picture is car on return -- you can see we put it through its paces. We will definitely rent from Traeger on our next visit.

Top car rental company! Super quick and friendly communication via WhatsApp. They came in on a Saturday to make everything ready. We even got the car one day earlier than we wanted! Car in best conditions. Would always go there again !

I could rent a car very spontaniously and did get the Ford Bronco, a perfect car for the Route 7! No problems at all, returned the car at the airport Balmaceda! I'll rent again at Traeger, when I come back!

Service was great. My only criticism was that the rentals had two ply tires in a 10 ply driving environment. Had two flats in a week on three vehicles. Otherwise no complaints and the employees were very helpful
