Highly recommend Alamo in Ushuaia!! We worked with the airport location and this location and they were a great help with some unique problems we faced. Yaco specifically was extremely helpful and helped to make our time in Ushuaia great.

We booked and paid for this before we left the UK for our cruise, and it was all very straightforward. Great service at the airport on collection, and also in town when we returned the car. Friendly and helpful staff, and a nice clean car. Hired a car so we could visit the national park, and it was well worth it! Would recommend.

Great service at both locations. Fast clear cars. The service was outstanding. I had to change my reservation due an outside issue and the staff did everything they could to help me out. They made it so easy. I am very thankful and would highly recommend!

We were unable to proceed with the rental we had reserved in advance because this Alamo branch only accepts credit cards and does not offer any alternatives, such as premium insurance. I’m extremely disappointed, as I’ve always had a positive experience with Alamo in the past, having rented from them multiple times in both the USA and Europe without any issues. Using a debit card was never a problem before, nor was it recently with SIXT in El Calafate. Since we couldn’t pick up our rental, we went to Tiger Car Rental a few blocks away, where they gladly provided us with a car. However, I want to emphasize that the one-star rating is for the company/branch itself, not the staff, who were very empathetic and genuinely tried to help.

Take extreme care while renting a car here (better to avoid, there are many other options there). I payed for a small sized sedan to be taken at the airport, but they don't even have a counter there! After returning the car for a man in the city downtown, they said the car was okay but charged me USD1500.00 for a couple of scratches in the bumper (see photo), they communicated with me TWO DAYS AFTER, when I was 2000 miles away !. The employee literally said a dog bite the car, unbileivable! I spent two days arguing that I paid for all the ensurance (CDW) and also that the employee verified the car when I returned it, but they simply ignored it. In the end they sent me a bill to fix the car, but in fact it was just an estimate (about USD600). They NEVER sent me a document saying the car was fixed, they just got my money. Don´t be a victim of this scam, Alamo US support will also ignore you, don´t even try. Don´t accept a bigger car then the one you paid for, they will charge for more money fo "fix" scrathes from street dogs. Really disappointed, that was a bizarre experience. This was the first time in my life I paid CDW that didn´t work.
