Amazing service!... rented a small SUV for 5 days at the start of January 2025, basically a new-ish Chevy Trax in very good condition out of El Calafate airport enroute to a ranch a few hours away. For anyone who's been in the area, lots of rough roads - we blew a tire within an hour and out of phone reception. Anyway, changed the tire and got back into mobile phone reception - Lago, the manager/customer service guy said the Summit/Flexways outlet was oversubscribed and that we might have to get a repair done locally (which would have put us way behind schedule) but to give him a few minutes - we drove back to the airport and he'd sorted out an alternate 4wd Pickup as a replacement at no extra charge. This alternative was not new, had some cosmetic damage and was only available in manual - perfect!!! Lago knew that we had a tight schedule to keep and came up with an alternative to "no cars available" - an alternative that we actually preferred due to the nature of our travels. We travel quite a bit and find that the various service providers generally have similar policies. The difference is almost always the level of service. I have never experienced this level of care from a car rental provider.

Excellent service, guys met us at agreed time and showed us the car to get us on our way. Car worked perfectly well for our 7 day trip, no problems. The car was a little beat up on the outside but I was happy with that rather than a mint condition one. No problem when returning the vehicle all good. Overall excellent service highly recommend!

Unfortunately, the car, a Chevrolet Spin (7 seats), was in not only bad but also unsafe condition. A tail light was defective, the warning lights for the engine and ABS were on, the tires were very worn and the wheel bearings were defective, so it was very noisy in the car. In addition, there were countless scratches and dents. Please do not rent this model! The employees Miguel and Maxi, on the other hand, were very friendly. They are aware of the poor condition, however, the management does not take the car out of the offer.

I strongly advise against renting from Next Car/ Summit rent a car in El Calafate. We paid a premium price for a 4x4 pickup truck, expecting a reliable vehicle for the area’s terrain, but what we received was a complete disaster. Ancient & Unsafe: The vehicle was a model from the year 2000 with over 180,000 km. It felt like it was literally falling apart; the bumpers were held together with metal wires! We were constantly terrified it would break down in the middle of nowhere. Filthy Condition: The car was disgusting. A spare tire was dumped in the trunk, leaving no room for suitcases. Everything was so dirty that every time we handled our luggage, we had to clean the bags and our clothes. Zero Dust/Rain Protection: Driving on gravel roads was a nightmare as dust filled the entire cabin. The cargo cover was already torn, and they warned us not to touch it so it wouldn't tear further. When we asked for a replacement, they showed us another car where the cover wouldn't even close, threatening our luggage would get soaked in the rain. Abysmal Service: Instead of taking responsibility, the staff pressured us to make a split-second decision, claiming there were no other cars available. This was an expensive mistake. Save your money and your safety—rent from a reputable company instead. Highly NOT recommended.
