Kiki Motorbikes And Tours

I highly recommend touring the loop through kiki , all of the drivers are really kind , drive safe , listen to our needs . The places we stayed were great. My driver was Huan who is very professional and polite . They really made those 3 days very memorable.

Strongly recommended, the staff here is really helpful (with whatever request or question you have besides renting a bike) and friendly. There’s a daily tour starting in the morning each day from here, scheduled for 3 days to complete the Ha Giang loop (they arrange the tour guide, food and accomodation). I think it’s worth considering if you dont feel that safe going by yourself or not fully prepared with a plan for the loop. Apart from renting a bike there’s a great accomodation in Kiki’s House with free breakfast and tasty coffee. The staff can easily help you arrange the transport, buy tickets which can be cheaper than buying online them online on 12go.

They were extremely helpful and kind. They helped us with planning the trip, e.g. how long different parts of the route we can do in a day and where to stay. The motorcycle was very good and looked after. We also were able to leave extra baggage with them (do not take extra bags, not worth it). Most importantly after we came back they booked us the overnight bus and there were showers to clean up and get ready.

A bittersweet experience. Great first impression: Fair prices (for the motorcycle, incl. helmet, gloves and leg + arm protection) and professional service (a legit contract and documentation of our deal). Sadly, that first impression was followed by a few very unpleasant surprises: First, motorcycle lacked headlights. Then, we were stopped by the police and fined, because Kiki's unlawfully rented us our bikes without telling us so. When we brought our bikes back, they took 750'000 Dong of our deposit and told us, that they had to pay the police off with that money. When asked for proof or receipts, the owner repeated the same story over and over again, yelled at us and in the end they kept our money and we never saw any proof.

In the beginning they were very friendly and helped us getting our motos. Sadly the person responsable was the son (I think) of the owner and wasnt at all motivated. One of the motobike had no light working, what we found out after the 3rd day. Sadly it was already too late to go back and replace it. No problem, we stopped driving in the evening. When we came back they ripped us off, because we had to pay an extra fee (in total 80$) without a receit or anything. Since they had our deposit we couldnt do anything. There are a lot of other very sympathetic rental companies :)) just dont bother going to Kiki
