24 hours rent bike service. Many bikes. My friend have small crash. They thought they were going to rip us off for a lot of money, but no, they took very little money, even though a lot of parts were damaged.

"Excellent rental shop! We rented a 150cc scooter for a trip into the mountains (Crazy Horse Buttress), and it was the best decision. The bike was in top condition, with great brakes and tires—essential for the steep roads. The rental process was fair, transparent, and professional. Highly recommend if you want a reliable ride in Chiang Mai!"

This Bike rental shop is one of the best I rented from in Thailand. Location is next to Bus terminal, there are a lot of cheap hotel around this area. We got a brand new bike. Sure it has some scratches on them (rental to many 1st timer will do that to a bike). I rented a 2025 Yamaha grand Filano from this shop. The bike was in a prestine condition. The brakes and tires were great. Engine purrs like a 2025 bike that it is. Price starts from 250b /day less for longer rental (automatic scooter). Plenty of choices. They give you the option to pick and choose and the bonus of 24hr opening hr. Pro tip; don't rent the cheapest bike150-200b/day. They tend to be old poorly maintained bike. You dont want bike issue in a middle of no where on your holiday. Your time and peace of mind is worth more than $3 a day. Get a less than 1yo bike given the option.

One of the BEST rental experiences I’ve ever had! I rented a 150cc moped from SK Motorcycle Services and honestly, it was outstanding from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly, funny, and genuinely interested in helping me get the best bike for my needs. I had a large travel bag with me, and they took the time to find the right scooter that would fit both me and my luggage comfortably. Not only that they helped me strap the bag securely to the back of the bike, making sure it was safe and stable for the journey to my hotel. Their patience and attention to detail really stood out. They also made sure I had a proper, well-fitting helmet not just handing me one, but taking time to ensure it was safe and comfortable. I felt truly taken care of. I rented the bike for two days, and it rode beautifully smooth, reliable, and fuel-efficient. I didn’t have a single issue, and filling it up cost next to nothing. On my return, I was in a total rush trying to catch a bus (which was luckily just down the street), and the staff were so understanding. They did a quick yet thorough handover, returned my deposit on the spot, and helped me get moving within minutes. Even though it was my time crunch, they went above and beyond to help me out. Kind, helpful, professional, and genuinely good hearted people. It’s rare to find this level of customer service while traveling. I’m truly grateful for how they handled everything and I’ll 100% be renting from SK Services again. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. 🙌 Thank you SK Motorcycle!

TLDR: they don't do preventative maintenance, they maintain the bikes ONLY when broken, and it's DANGEROUS. My experience was a lot of fun, but probably not the type of fun you want to experience. Based on what I saw, and as someone who actually owns and maintains a bike back home, I probably cannot give a more revealing account of how this motorcycle shop operates. I rented the legendary Honda Wave 125, which is known across SEA for being bulletproof and ubiquitous. It's the most common bike you see on the streets, and it's manual, therefore has a chain. The chain must be regularly cleaned and maintained, to ensure it doesn't break and it doesn't fall down. (Just like with a bicycle.) After 14 days of riding the bike, which had other subtle issues (reason for why becomes obvious by the end): the bike suddenly abruptly stopped (back wheel had seized up -- as if starting to brake!), causing an inevitable fall. Had this happened at a higher speed, or with lots of traffic, one could be dead, or at least get very rough road rash. The technical reason for the failure is interesting: The chain must be checked every 1000 km according to the manual. If it's too loose, it must be tightened or replaced. Having seen the chain (it's protected by a piece of plastic), it was incredibly dirty and incredibly loose. After calling the rental shop, they arrived on a different, EVEN WORSE, Honda Wave. I was told I should take other bike to ride to the shop. This Honda Wave, for a change, had an exposed chain which was even looser and it also had faulty turn signals. Upon arrival, they attempted to give me this even worse Wave as a replacement. This other one didn't even have the chain covered under the piece of plastic! Then the fun ensued. I rented for 1 month for 4000 baht and I was 14 days into my rental. I requested the situation be resolved in either of two ways: a) any safe, well maintained motorcycle for the remainder of the 14 days. Any size, manual or automatic. b) a full refund of my deposit + the 4000 baht I paid. They refused, countering with an offer of deposit + 2000 baht. Hilariousness ensued as they attempted to FIND A SINGLE WELL MAINTAINED MOTORCYCLE. After some initial back and forth, I was taken to a garage full of many 125cc bikes. I proceeded to check them. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM HAD A DEFECT I WAS ABLE TO PINPOINT WITH THE BIKES STILL IN THE GARAGE. Many of them had dangerously worn tires, loose brakes, one had no functioning tachometer. The rest -- a good indicator of a well maintained scooter is one with a working start-stop system. When enabled, the scooter is supposed to stop at stoplights, if sufficiently warmed up, to save fuel and vibration. This system is very sensitive, if the onboard computer detects anything off (most commonly low battery voltage, oil replacement interval not being followed, rough idle, etc etc etc -- basically the onboard computer not being 100% sure it'll be able to immediately start the engine the second you pull the throttle, the system doesn't engage. Of the 5 bikes I looked at and checked, ALL OF THEM WERE IN SOME WAY DEFECTIVE. Hilarious, we had lots of fun with the technicians. To summarize -- this motorbike rental shop doesn't do maintenance. It does only repairs when something breaks. Note: the order to not offer a full refund came from a supervisor. Purely the supervisor is to blame. In the end, frankly, I gave up and took the 5000 deposit + 2000 partial refund. I just couldn't be bothered. Reader, avoid. When you rent a bike, make sure to check the Start/Stop is working -- let it idle and warm up for a bit. If it stops, the bike is likely well maintained.
