D2 Bike Nimman Motorcycle

Genuine motorcycle rental shop in Chiang Mai. The spring attached to the kickstand of my rental scooter (rented from a different shop) broke right outside this store earlier today. Whilst helping a queue of customers looking to rent a motorcycle, the owner kindly went out of his way to repair my scooter for me (and insisted it was for free!). If you're in Chiang Mai, this is a genuinely nice man who I'd 100% recommend renting a motorcycle from.

Small shop with not many bikes to choose from, but the service was good and the best thing is they only ask for 1000 baht deposit with photocopy of passport, instead of 3000 like at most other places. I rented a 155cc Yamaha Aerox for 400 baht per day and everything was great.

This is by far the best place to rent a scooter in Chiang Mai. The owner speaks fluent english and was very responsive. They only required 1000 baht deposit plus a photo copy of your passport. We rented a 155cc model for 2 weeks to do the Mae Hong Son loop and up around Chiang Dao to Chiang Rai. The scooter worked perfectly and had plenty of power for the hills on our trip. You also get a big discount if you rent week or monthly. Next time we are back in Chiang Mai. We will definitely rent from them again.

Nice and very responsive staff and owner. Can easily chat with them on WhatsApp or Facebook. Their bikes are in great condition and affordable. They are a popular option during high season so be aware. When we rent our bike mid Oct, the shop was filled with bikes. When we returned to renew it mid Nov, there were only 5 left and there were already 2 set of ppl in the shop at 9am waiting to rent.

By far the best place to rent a scooter in Chiang Mai — D2 Bike Rental. The guy there speaks fluent English and was super responsive from start to finish. Everything was clear, straightforward, and professional — no stress at all. They only required a 1,000 baht deposit plus a photocopy of passport, which is very reasonable compared to many other places. We rented a Yamaha QBIX 125 for 5 days and it performed perfectly. Even the bike is a bit old, still a smooth ride, reliable, and had plenty of power to handle the hills around Chiang Mai without any struggle. No hidden fees, no drama. Next time we’re back in Chiang Mai, we’ll definitely rent from them again. Highly recommended if you want a worry-free scooter rental experience. 🛵✨
